AZA 7th Conference on Zoo and Wildlife Nutrition 2007

Student-Keeper Competition

          

The AZA Nutrition Advisory Group (NAG) is holding its seventh conference on zoo and wildlife nutrition in Knoxville, TN, 20-25 October 2007. This is a joint conference with the American Association of Zoo Veterinarians and the American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians

The NAG will conduct a Student-Keeper Paper Competition.  The competition is open to Animal Keepers and Students and is intended to give recognition to students who reach above and beyond the completion of general class work and to provide students with the opportunity to meet people within their chosen field of study.  Keepers have been included to encourage animal care professional already in field with an interest in animal nutrition.

 Student-Keeper Awards

 1st Place

  • Transportation to and from the 2007 NAG Conference

  • Lodging for the duration of the 2007 NAG Conference

  • 2007 NAG Conference Registration

  • Letter of Recognition from the AZA Nutrition Advisory Group

  • Achievement Award presented at the Nutrition Advisory Group Breakfast

*Recipient will be reimbursed for expenses not to exceed $400 for transportation, $ 400 for lodging.  Recipient is responsible for their own transportation and lodging arrangements

2nd Place

  • 2007 NAG Conference Registration

  • Letter of Recognition from the AZA Nutrition Advisory Group

  • Achievement Award presented at the Nutrition Advisory Group Breakfast 

Award winners are required to attend, and present their winning paper at, the 2007 NAG Conference.  Winning Student-Keeper manuscripts will be published in the 2007 NAG Conference Proceedings
