Accomplishments of Subcommittee July 2000 – April 2002: (list should be
comprehensive, list all publications, presentations, workshops, grants secured
etc …)
| Web site committee was
founded about July 2001. Since forming, we have secured our domain name, a
hosting service and web space. We have put up the conference information for
the 2001 conference with frequent updates. After the conference, sections
with general information about the NAG, other conferences, ordering and
shipping information for the 99 and 01 proceedings and a secure Steering
Committee only section were added. Sections that include valuable nutrition
resources such as all published nutrition husbandry manual chapters and NAG
technical papers have been added as resources both to the NAG and other zoo
professionals. As a subcommittee, we are currently working to publicize the
presence of the NAG site to groups that would be able to make use of our
resources (AAZV, AZA, etc.). We are also in the process of working to put up
membership information in a password-protected area (making the membership
directory available), develop sponsorship arrangements to defray the costs
of the web site and setup pages of links and other nutrition conferences.
